Follow the steps below to format your microSD card. This D-Link Omna 180 camera will format to FAT32 file system.

 

1. Insert your microSD card into the camera. Make sure the gold tabs are facing down (the text on the bottom of the camera is right-side up).

 

2. Open the Omna app.

 

3. Tap the icon at the bottom.

 

 

4. Tap Settings.

 

 

5. Tap SD Recording.

 

 

6. You must turn off SD Card Recording before formatting. Tap to turn off.

 

 

7. Tap Format SD Card. Note that formatting the SD card will erase all data and will format to FAT32.

 

 

8. Tap Format.

 

 

9. Allow about a minute to format. Once finished, tap OK. You can now enable SD Card Recording.

 


What should I do if the LED on my D-Link DSH-C310 camera remains solid red after powerup?

If the LED on the camera remains solid red after powering up, this means the camera cannot connect to the wireless router it was configured to. If you moved the camera, try moving it closer to the router and reboot. If the problem persists, you will need to reset the camera and reconfigure it.

To reset the camera, use a paper clip and press & hold the reset button (on the bottom of the camera) for 10 seconds and then release. Once the camera reboots, follow the Quick Start Guide to set up the camera.

Why am I unable to locate the D-Link DNR-322L using the mydlink setup wizard?

  • Download the latest version of the setup wizard at https://www.mydlink.com/
  • Make sure the PC being used is on the same network as the DNR-322L
  • Temporarily disable any Anti-Virus software
  • Temporarily disable Windows firewall

How do I manually update the firmware on my D-Link DNR-202L Mydlink Camera Video Recorder?

Follow the steps below to manually upgrade the firmware of your D-Link DNR-202L. (this process can also be used to restore a failed “bricked” unit)

Symptoms:

  • Unable access the configuration pages or web interface
  • Firmware update failed – Top LED light now blinking red all the time
  • The DNR lost power while in the firmware update process – Resetting back to factory has no effect on the unit. (Top LED light is solid red)
  • An error message regarding it’s certificate shows up when trying to access the configuration pages and the device appears frozen.

 

WARNING:  This Manual firmware upgrade/rescue process  will reset the unit back to factory setting.  Reconfiguration of your DNR-202L will be needed at the end of this process. 

 

STEP 1.  Download the latest version of the firmware by visiting http://support.dlink.com/dnr-202L

 

STEP 2. Unpack the downloaded ZIP file and rename the extracted firmware file (with file extension “.bin”) to “update.bin“.

 

 

STEP 3.  Insert a Flash Drive, memory USB stick/USB stick to one of your computer USB ports. Quick Format the USB stick to FAT32 file system to be use on the next step.

(Warning:  backup any files on your flash drive before starting this process, you will loose all files previously saved in it when performing a format).

 

 

 

STEP 4:  Copy the “update.bin” to your freshly formatted flash drive and disconnect the flash drive from your computer when this process is done:

 

 

 

STEP 5:  Power off the DNR-202L by unplugging the power source. Insert the USB flash drive into USB port marked “HD1”  of the DNR-202L (next to the Ethernet port; marked #3 in the image below ).

 

 

 

STEP 6:  Press and hold “Scan” button and connect the power back to the DNR-202L . The DNR will begin running thought it’s start up sequence,  you will hear a long beep follow by a short one (continue holding the SCAN button)  until the DNR-202L LED ring light will show a flashing red light, release the “Scan” button. The upgrade process will begin.

 

 

 

 

STEP 7: After the firmware upgrade is done, the buzzer will give two short beeps this will marked the end of the upgrade process. .  Manually reboot the unit by disconnecting and reconnecting the power.

 

 

The D-Link DNR-202L should now be upgraded and ready for setup.

This article would walk you through setting up an email account on your camera’s MAIL SETTINGS. This settings will allow the camera to send an email as part part of the following conditions :

  1. On Schedule – as specified in the TIME SCHEDULE section.
  2. On Motion Detection – Requires motion detection be configured.

Please make sure you have all the required information before you begin.

 

REQUIREMENTS   (Example here is using a Yahoo email account

  • SMTP Server address – Example: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  • SMTP Server Port  –  Example:  25, 587, etc
  • User name and password  – for the sender address account
  • Type of  security used by the mail service  –  Either: SSL-TLS , STARTTLS, None This depends on your Service Provided

 

Once you have all the above information collected, follow the steps below to setup the email account:

 

Step 1. Login to your camera configuration pages

 

Step 2. Navigate to the MAIL page options by clicking SETUP for the horizontal menu and then MAIL form the Left side vertical menu

 

 

Step 3.  Under the E-MAIL ACCOUNT section (Top of the page) enter the following information:

 

– SMTP Server Address

– SMTP Sever Port

– Sender E-Mail Address

– Receiver E-Mail Address

– User Name

– Password

– Use SSL-TLS/STARTTLS option

 

*Verification of the information in red is vital for proper configuration and operation

 

 

Step 4. Save configuration by clicking on the Save Settings button

 

Step 5. After the configuration has been saved, go to the bottom of the page under the TEST E-MAIL ACCOUNT section  and click on  Test  to send a verification test email.

 

 

Step 6. A confirmation message displays. Go to  STATUS > Device Info to see the results or check your inbox to look for the confirmation email sent.

 

 

If you are unable to get the email confirmation or if your email test resulted in a failure, check your SMTP server address and port settings. Verify the User Nave and Password. Check the Security Type settings information (if you are using your ISP SMTP service, contact your ISP support and ask them to verify the information used in their configuration) try again.

Step 1
Download the trial version of Interarchy from http://nolobe.com/interarchy/
Extract the app, and move to the Applications folder.

Step 2
Open Interarchy, and you will see a window like this:

  • In the protocol drop-down, select WebDAV
  • In the server, type the IP or hostname you use to connect to your D-link DNS-320L
  • You can either leave the port as default (80) or change it to 443
  • Type in the username and password you have set for webdav access.
  • In remote path type: /webdav/YOUR WEBDAV SHARE
  • (Where YOUR WEBDAV SHARE is the name/path of the folder you have set as a web-dav share)
  • Click List

This will connect you to your D-Link DNS-320L via webdav.

Step 4: Select the additional camera(s) you want to enable Cloud Recording for then tap  

 

 

Step 5: Tap Set a Rule.

 

 

Step 6: Tap the settings icon.

 

 

Step 7: Tap the + on the bottom right to add a rule for the new camera.

 

 

Step 8: Select the event you would like to a add to your automation, then tap Next (This example shows motion detection).

 

 

Step 9: Select the action you would like to add to your automation, then tap Next (This example shows Cloud recording and Push Notifications).

 

 

Step 10: Tap 

 

 

Step 11: Now you can see the two Rules for the two cameras.

How to reset the D-Link DCS-800L camera to factory default settings?

Example:

  1. If you forget your camera’s password, you can perform a reset to return all settings to the factory default.
  2. If you can’t log in to the device.
  3. If you change your network environment.
  4. If you want to assign the device to another mydlink account.
  5. If you encounter a problem while registering the device to the mydlink service.
  6. If the setup wizard can’t find the camera.

Note: After a factory reset you will need to re-register the camera with mydlink Cloud Services.

Warning: Do not turn off your mydlink Baby Camera during this process. It is recommended that this process is only carried out while the camera is connected directly to a power outlet using the supplied power adapter.

Step 1: With the unit on, use a paper clip to press the reset button inside the hole on the base on the unit labeled RST.

Step 2: Hold the button down for 10 seconds and release.

Note: Do not unplug the power adapter during this procedure.

Step 3: The unit will then reboot. Once the power light stops blinking, the unit is reset and all settings are restored to their defaults.

Note This FAQ is based on the mydlink app version 1.5.4 (build 109) from Android (v8.0.0). The iOS version may look a little different.

 

This FAQ only applies to the D-Link DCS-8000LH, 8010LH, 8300LH, and 8525LH cameras. 

 

To setup your camera with the mydlink app, follow the steps below:

 

Step 1: Launch the mydlink app. Log in with your mydlink account username and password. This will be the same username and password if you have used the mydlink Lite or mydlink Home app. If you have never created a mydlink account, you can create one.

 

Step 2: Tap the settings icon (3 lines in the upper left corner).

 

 

Step 3: Select Add a Device.

 

 

Step 4: Tap Yes to scan the QR code.The QR code is located on the label on the bottom of the camera or on the Wi-Fi configuration card included with the product. If the label or card are missing, tap No and select from the drop-down list.

 

 

Step 5: If you tapped Yes, scan the QR code. If you are having trouble scanning the QR code, move to a brighter lit area. If you tapped No, select the camera model from the list.

 

Step 6: Tap Next. Please wait about a minute (or less).

 

Step 7:  Tap Device Location to select where your camera will be setup. Select from the list or scroll to the bottom and tap Add Location to create your own.

 

 

Step 8: Tap Choose Your Wi-Fi Network. Select the WiFi network you want to connect the camera to (note this should be the same network that your mobile device running this app is on). Enter the Wi-Fi password and then tap Next.

 

 

Step 9: If you want this camera to be displayed on the “Home” screen, tap Add to Shortcut (checked by default). Tap Next at the bottom to continue.

 

 

Step 10: The camera will now save your Wi-Fi settings, and then bind to your mydlink account. This process can take up to 3 minutes.

 

Note: If you receive an error during the Setup Wi-Fi process, make sure you are entering the Wi-Fi password correctly. Remember it is case-sensitive. Also make sure the camera is within range of your wireless router, and that the router has DHCP enabled and does not have any filtering which may block the camera from connecting.

 

If you receive an error during the Binding process, this usually means the camera cannot connect to the mydlink servers. It is best to reboot your router, close the mydlink app, and reset the camera (hold a paperclip in the reset hole for 10 seconds and release. The LED on the back should turn red). Once your router has rebooted, open the mydlink app and set it the camera again. If you continue to get errors, please contact D-Link support at 1-877-453-5465. Support is free and available 24/7.

 

Step 11: Once the camera setup is finished, the following message will appear. If you want to add the camera to cloud recording, tap Yes, or tap Later.

 

 

Step 12: If you tapped Yes, a new Automation will be created to record video detected by motion to your cloud recording subscription (free or paid). Tap the check mark at the top right corner to finish setup.

Issue:

FIX: Ensure that you have entered the correct IP address of your D-Link Camera along with the correct Username and Password (if any has been configured)

Step 1: Launch D-ViewCam and click Settings >Setting > System Setting

Step 2: Click on the Camera Tab, select your Camera and Click Config

Step 3: Confirm:

  • Correct IP address is Entered
  • Correct Username and Password
  • Correct Make and Model is select

Click OK

The Camera should now be displayed

How to pair a mydlink camera with the Google Assistant app using D-Link?

The following example is using an iPhone. The steps will be similar with Android devices. If you want to stream the live video of the camera to your TV you will need Chromecast connected to your TV.

 

Note: Currently only the DCS-8000LH, DCS-8010LH, DCS-8300LH, DCS-8525LH, DCS-936L, and DCS-5030L cameras are supported on Google Assistant.

 


 

Step 1: Launch the Google Assistant app.

 

Step 2: Tap the icon in the top right corner.

 

 

Step 3: Tap the 3 dots in the upper right corner.

 

 

Step 4: Tap Settings.

 

 

Step 5: Tap Home Control.

 

 

Step 6: Tap + in the bottom right corner to add a device.

 

 

Step 7: Find mydlink Smart in the menu and select it.

 

 

Step 8: Enter your mydlink credentials and tap Sign In.

 

 

Once done, mydlink Smart will appear in the Linked Services.

 

Step 9: Tap the back button.

 

 

Step 10: Tap the Devices tab and then tap on your camera.

 

 

Step 11: Tap the pencil icon to set a Nickname for the camera. Tap OK.

 

 

Step 12: Tap the back button.

 

 

Step 13: Tap Rooms.

 

 

– Tap + and select a room.

 

 

Step 14: Select the camera to add to the room and Tap Done.

 

 

You can now use voice commands to stream the live video to your TV.

How to view video files from cloud recording in the D-Link mydlink app?

Note: Screen shots below are from the Android version of the D-Link mydlink app. The iOS version may vary. When asked to “tap back”, in the iOS version tap the < icon in the upper left corner.

 

To view videos from the mydlink cloud, follow the steps below:

 

Step 1: Launch the mydlink app.

 

Step 2: Tap the menu icon in the upper left corner. You can also tap Event & Video at the bottom.

 

 

Step 3: Tap Event & Video.

 

 

Step 4: Tap Event.

 

 

Step 5: At the top, select the day you want to view video from. The videos will be listed newest to oldest and will display if detected by motion or sound. Tap the video to watch it.

 

 

Step 6: You can perform the following on the view video screen:

  • Rotate your device to view full screen
  • Tap the Share icon to send the video via email, text, and other services installed on your device such as YouTube and Instagram
  • Tap the Favorite icon (star) in the upper right to mark the video as a favorite
  • Tap the Camera icon to save an image from the video
  • Tap the play/pause button to pause and play the video
  • Tap the down-arrow icon to save the video to your device

 

 

Step 7: Tap back to go back to the list of videos (Timeline). To delete videos, tap Edit in the upper right and then select the videos you want to remove. Tap Remove in the bottom right corner to delete.

 

I’m getting error “Cannot find Camera” during D-Link mydlink camera setup

1. Go to Home Menu of the Alexa App, and select Smart Home.

 

2.  Select Get More Smart Home Skills to connect  to your mydlink Home app.

 

 

 

3. Search “dlink” and select from the results mydlink Home – Optimized for Smart Home

 

 

 

4. Click Enable Skill.

 

5. Sign in using your mydlink Account (sign up for a mydlink account if you do not have one yet) and click Authorize.

 

6. The pop up window shows “Alex has been successfully linked with dlink home”

 

7. Click Discover Devices to search D-Link Smart Plugs setup in mydlink Home app

 

 

8. Once D-Link Smart Plugs are discovered, Alexa will tell you what are found and the units will display in Your Devices.

 

 

9. You can create groups to control multiple devices at a time or separate the connected devices based on locations or functions. Click Create Group to begin:

 

 

Once you are done, enjoy the freedom of using your voice to control your Smart Home.

Step 5: Select mydlink camera skill.

 

 

Step 6: Tap Enable.

Step 8: Tap Allow.
